Welcome to Atelier Nursery

The early years of a child’s life are incredibly precious. We want our children and their families to feel happy and secure, building positive memories that will stay with them always. That’s why at Atelier we have created a unique nursery environment. We seek to balance the intimacy and nurture of a family home with quality resources, exciting learning and engaged staff.

Children are at the centre of all we do. When children join Atelier, the nursery very quickly becomes a special place not just for them but for the whole family. Our key family and free flow approaches offer children freedom in a supportive environment. This ensures that they can be confident, skilful and capable learners who are respected and valued.

At Atelier we do things a little differently. We make no secret of the fact that we stand on the shoulders of many giants who have gone before us in the education of young children.

The principles of the nursery are influenced from nationally and internationally recognised best practice.  We have taken the elements that we believe work best for children and families from across the world and rolled them into one special place: Atelier Nursery.

Our Bath Nursery

Atelier Bath, is conveniently situated in Dover Place, nestled between London and Camden Road.

The nursery building is a renovated 19th century school building, previously known as St Swithin’s and the Walcot Boys school. The building now homes our learning environments called the Baby Nest, the Snug, the Discovery Room, the Studio, the Piazza and most recently the Cabin.

The garden area can be accessed by all ages and includes a stage, large digging and sand area, water play, space for making potions and lotions in the mud kitchen, and room for bikes and trikes as well as a soon to be constructed outdoor art centre.

Our Chippenham Nursery

Atelier Chippenham is very conveniently situated on the corner of Emery Lane and St Mary Street, making it ideal for those working in the town centre.

The nursery building is a Grade 2 renovated church which was built in 1826 and extended in the middle of the 19th century.  The previous minister's house and hall together with the chapel now home our learning environments called the Baby Nest, the Explorers, the Discovery Room, the Studio and Piazza.

With a large garden area accessed via the side of the building, our beach and river bed can be enjoyed by all ages of children. We also have our climbing area, tree house, space for making potions and lotions in the mud kitchen, and our boat that influences the storytelling and imaginative play.
